About Steven Simon
Steven Simon, MD, MPH, is Chief of Staff, VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System, and Professor of Medicine (In Residence) and Associate Dean for Veterans Affairs, David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He is a practicing general internist (hospitalist physician), medical educator, and health services researcher. His research focuses on the evaluation of health information technology to improve patient safety and the quality of health care. He has expertise in the adoption of health information technology, the use of health information technology to improve the delivery of health care, especially the use of medications and the care of chronic illness. Dr. Simon has served as principal investigator or co-investigator on numerous studies, included federally funded projects, to evaluate interventions to improve quality of care and patient safety.
