Ashlee Carter, Ph.D., currently serves as the Associate Dean of Students at UMass Boston. Earlier, she received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication-Public Relations from the University of Hartford, studying from 2004 to 2008.

Ashlee Carter has extensive experience in higher education administration. She worked at the New England Conservatory of Music as the Assistant Dean of Campus Life and Deputy Title IX Coordinator from 2017 to 2019. Additionally, she held various positions at Seton Hall University, including Associate Director and Assistant Director in the Dean of Students Office from 2013 to 2017. Her career also includes a role as Director of Student Development and Campus Life at Berkeley College in 2013.
Teaching Role
In addition to her administrative roles, Ashlee Carter has served as an Adjunct Instructor in Sexual Ethics at UMass Boston since 2020. This position allows her to engage with students academically while contributing to their understanding of important ethical considerations in higher education.
