Daniela Balanzategui obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador, where she focused on the Archaeology of the African Diaspora in Ecuador. She furthered her education at Simon Fraser University, earning a Master's degree in Historical Archaeology from 2009 to 2012. She continued her studies at Simon Fraser University as a Graduate Student from 2012 to 2017, specializing in the Archaeology of the African Diaspora.

Teaching Experience in Ecuador

In addition to her roles in Canada and the United States, Daniela Balanzategui worked as a Temporary Teacher at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador from 2016 to 2018. During this time, she engaged with students in Quito, contributing to their educational development in anthropology and archaeology.
