“Follow your passion” is such a played out term these days. We should point the finger at Oprah. But from the moment I first heard the term as a teenager I never questioned that path. For over 22 years I’ve sat at the crossroads of creativity and commerce. Helping artists build sustainable careers around their music. I'm currently part of the domestic team at Universal Music, where our job is to make sure that the music from some of Australia’s most respected artists keeps reaching new audiences. My role also involves creating new copyrights in non-traditional areas, such as mood and lifestyle sounds, to keep up with the ever-changing market. I also have a passion for mentoring emerging musicians. Helping them navigate releases, content, socials and most importantly building and nurturing a fanbase. I feel fortunate to have carved out a career in an industry I feel so passionately about.
