Carolyn Augusta has received recognition for her research efforts, including first place in a poster competition in November 2018 for her work on dynamic contact networks of swine premises in Manitoba. She also received a poster award in 2017 for her research on deep learning models for classification of spatial epidemics. Additionally, she was nominated for two USSU Outstanding Teaching Awards during her first year of lecturing.

Leadership and Involvement

Throughout her academic career, Carolyn Augusta has actively participated in student governance. She served as Vice-President Internal of the Graduate Students’ Association and held the position of Co-Chair of the Student Senate Caucus for two years. Her involvement in various committees within the Department of Mathematics & Statistics reflects her commitment to representing student interests.
