Judy Cheptoo has served as the General Manager for Kenya Water Projects at Untapped Global since 2020. In this role, she has been instrumental in streamlining the Community Water ATMs project, which involved organizational restructuring and redefining the business model. Her efforts contributed to the project being recognized among the top 100 projects in the Energy Globe Award 2021. Cheptoo's leadership focuses on enhancing access to clean water solutions in Kenya.
Previous Experience
Before joining Untapped Global, Judy Cheptoo held various positions in the communications and water sectors. She worked as an Online Sub-editor (Social Media) at Standard Group PLC for two months in 2016. Prior to that, she was involved in Marketing & Communications at AccessKenya Group Limited from 2015 to 2016. Additionally, she served as a Business Development and Customer Success Manager at Impact Water from 2017 to 2020, where she led initiatives that provided safe water solutions to over 10,000 schools.
Co-Founder of Ubuntu WaterHub Africa
In 2022, Judy Cheptoo co-founded Ubuntu WaterHub Africa, where she currently serves as the Head of Business. This venture focuses on developing pay-go products aimed at improving data management and revenue collection within the Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) sector. The initiative targets to establish 500 sites by December 2026, utilizing a revenue share model with local water entrepreneurs to enhance sustainability.

Judy Cheptoo earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from Daystar University, where she majored in Public Relations and minored in Psychology. Her educational background provides her with a solid foundation in communication strategies and understanding human behavior, which are essential in her roles within the water projects and business development sectors.
