Previous Experience at Nike
Prior to his current role, Sam Aqua had an extensive career at Nike, where he held multiple leadership positions. He worked as Vice President and General Manager of Nike Direct Stores in Greater China from 2017 to 2019. Before this, he served as General Manager of Digital Commerce for Greater China from 2012 to 2015, and as General Manager of Nike Factory Stores from 2015 to 2017. His tenure at Nike also included roles in strategic planning and retail business development.
Early Career and Marketing Experience
Sam Aqua began his career in marketing at the Hong Kong Trade Development Council from 2004 to 2005. He also worked at Grey Group in New York as part of the Account Management team from 2001 to 2004. These early experiences provided him with a solid foundation in marketing and business development.
Educational Background
Sam Aqua holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and International Relations from Cornell University, which he attended from 1997 to 2001. He furthered his education by obtaining a Master of Business Administration from UCLA Anderson School of Management between 2005 and 2007. He also studied briefly at Fudan University and China Europe International Business School, enhancing his international business acumen.
