About M. Eric Johnson
With over 25 years of experience as a professor and dean in business and engineering schools, I am passionate about advancing knowledge and practice in the fields of digital strategy, digital operations, cyber security, healthcare IT, and supply chain management. As the Ralph Owen Dean at Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management, I led a team of faculty and staff who are committed to delivering excellence in teaching, research, and service to our students, alumni, and partners. My academic background includes a PhD in Engineering from Stanford University, where I also taught and a dual BS in Engineering and Economics from Penn State University. I have also received an honorary MA from Dartmouth College, where I served as a professor and associate dean for 14 years. I have published multiple articles, books, and cases on various topics related to digital transformation, innovation, and leadership. I have also consulted and collaborated with leading organizations such as Accenture, Hewlett-Packard Enterprises, HP Inc, Nike, Nokia, Oracle, and Philips Healthcare.
