With a deep passion for editing, Shellie Richards has edited nearly 200 scientific manuscripts and documents, 120 grant applications, and two textbooks. Her fiction writing has been published in journals such as the Coachella Review, Cream City Review, Blue Lake Review, Oatmeal Magazine, Bending Genres, Bartleby Snopes (where she won the story of the month), and The Chaffey Review for creative nonfiction.
Teaching and Advising
In her current role, Shellie Richards teaches writing specifically tailored for STEM majors at Vanderbilt University. She also serves as a faculty adviser to The SciLit Review, a journal that showcases science-themed poetry, fiction, and nonfiction.
