Shweta Khare has a diverse work experience, having held several internship positions. She was a Summer Research Intern at RTI in Sunnyvale, California in 2016, and a Summer Intern at Nokia Bell Labs in Murray Hill, NJ during the summers of 2015 and 2014. Additionally, she interned at the MASI Lab, Vanderbilt University in 2013. Her early career includes roles as a Software Engineer at Samsung India Software Operations in Bangalore and a Programmer Analyst Trainee at Cognizant in Gurgaon, India.
Research and Development Projects
During her academic and professional career, Shweta Khare has been involved in various research and development projects. Notably, she developed a machine learning-based algorithm for optimizing the placement of stream processing operators to minimize data processing latency. She also designed machine learning-based heuristics for topic placement in publish/subscribe systems, effectively satisfying latency Quality-of-Service (QoS) requirements for a majority of topics. Furthermore, in collaboration with RTI, she developed the Rx4DDS library for reactive data stream processing, and worked with Siemens on a localization algorithm for smart car parking, processing UWB and iBeacon data streams.
Teaching Experience
Shweta Khare has experience as a Teaching Assistant at Vanderbilt University, a role she undertook from 2012 to 2014. During this period, she supported the academic growth of students in the Greater Nashville Area, contributing to the educational mission of the university through her teaching and mentorship.
