Lexie Kier is Principal Strategist and Founder of AOK Group, a strategic branding consultancy that guides startup founders in crafting their pitch deck, evolving their brand, and go-to-market launch. Before AOK Group, Lexie launched German fintech startup LaterPay in the US as their Managing Director. Before LaterPay, Lexie founded her first tech startup, Cuurio– a strategic partnership marketplace connecting large brands with emerging platforms. Cuurio was backed by angel investment from Gary Vaynerchuk who Lexie worked for at VaynerMedia honing strategy for brands like Zappos, Green Mountain Coffee, Kraft Foods, and Pepsico. Before Cuurio and Vayner, Lexie kicked off her career with a decade of digital strategy in Omnicom and Dentsu-owned agencies for S&P 500 brands. Today she serves as a startup adviser, venture partner, accelerator mentor, and board member. She is proud to have helped AOK clients raise over $750M in venture funding. Lexie lives and works in Manhattan with her daughters, husband, and house plants, and cares deeply about helping female and minority founders get access to capital. Lexie also mentors foreign startups via VentureOutNY's international venture acceleration programs, XRC, Halo Accelerator, and others. She serves on a number of startup and venture boards and served as a member of the American Express Digital Advisory Board for over 5 years.
