Work at Verint
Kirsty Meredith has been employed at Verint since 2021, serving as Principal QA Engineer and Team Lead of QA within the Data Process Analytics (DPA) division in Belfast, Northern Ireland. In her role, she leads the Rebel Alliance Team, focusing on the integration of the Work Assist product into the DPA framework. Kirsty is responsible for defining and writing both automated and manual tests for this product, utilizing technologies such as C#, Selenium, and Cucumber. She also champions a shift-left approach to quality assurance, promoting early testing and quality integration throughout the development process.
Previous Work Experience
Before joining Verint, Kirsty Meredith held several positions in quality assurance and software development. She worked at TP ICAP as a Senior Test Engineer from 2019 to 2021. Prior to that, she was a QA Lead at Synergy Learning for one year in 2016-2017. Her experience also includes roles as a QA Analyst at CVS Health and Reward, and as a Software Developer at Allstate. Additionally, she began her career as a Graduate Software Engineer at Asidua and worked as a General Assistant at Asda.
Education and Expertise
Kirsty Meredith holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Software Development from Queen's University Belfast, which she completed in 2013. She also earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Social Anthropology from the same institution between 2006 and 2009. Her educational background provides her with a solid foundation in both technical and analytical skills, which she applies in her current role in quality assurance and software testing.
Initiatives and Leadership
At Verint, Kirsty initiated the Graduate DPA Program aimed at supporting the development of new graduates within the Data Process Analytics team. She conducts regular demonstrations of the Work Assist product to various teams, including Cloud Ops, DevOps, Sales, and Tier 3 Support, which are subsequently uploaded to the Verint Learning Centre. Additionally, she holds regular one-on-one meetings with QA team members to discuss career goals and integrate these into their key performance indicators (KPIs), fostering a supportive team environment.
