About Jeff Stine
I’m on a lifelong mission to prove that entrepreneurial talent is equally distributed across the globe, even while opportunity is not. Over the past fifteen years, my professional work has been anything but a straight line. I've designed, launched, and run, as Managing Partner, two venture capital funds that invest in exceptional but underserved startups solving some of the world’s toughest & most important challenges in Africa. I've accumulated 15+ years of aggregate private-company Board experience, been recognized as a thought leader in emerging-market venture capital, and advised global companies on strategic transformations via M&A and other investments. And I've served in the military with multiple tours of duty. Through these diverse and challenging experiences, I have learned the value of resilience, innovation, and collaboration, and the power of entrepreneurship to foster economic development and social change. I'm on a journey to catalyze others to join me in the mission to support underserved and underheard entrepreneurs across the globe. If you are interested in joining me on this journey, I’m looking forward to connecting with you. At the start of my career, my experience coordinating community-rebuilding efforts in war-torn areas of the Middle East led me to believe that, while governments and development organizations can do their part, entrepreneurship plays a critical role in economic development that cannot be overlooked. I saw, in the most dramatic way possible, the effect that hope, promise, and good jobs can have on communities, and the role entrepreneurs play in fostering that.
