Paul Furfaro has played a significant role in the cannabis industry. He previously served as Vice President of Operations and Interim President and CEO at the Société Quebecoise du Cannabis (SQDC). During his tenure, he was responsible for implementing the operational infrastructure for the new provincial corporation at the onset of cannabis legalization in 2018. His efforts contributed to the expansion of SQDC to 90 dispensaries and over 1000 employees, generating more than $1 billion in economic benefits at both the provincial and federal levels.
