Previous Experience in Learning and Development
Before joining Vistra, Gavin Book held several key positions in learning and development. He worked as the Learning and Development Manager at Co-op Insurance from 2017 to 2021. Prior to that, he served as the Learning Development Manager at O2 (Telefónica UK) for eight months in 2007. His experience also includes roles at Balfour Beatty Workplace as both Learning & Development Consultant and Head of Learning & Development, as well as a Leadership Development Consultant at Bupa.

Education and Early Career
Gavin Book studied at St Wilfrids CofE School from 1992 to 1997. His early career included a significant tenure at Aviva, where he worked as a Leadership Development Consultant for nine years, from 1997 to 2006. This foundational experience in leadership development set the stage for his future roles in learning and development across various organizations.

Throughout his career, Gavin Book has managed the development of teams ranging from 600 to over 10,000 colleagues. His expertise in leadership and management development has been instrumental in fostering talent and enhancing organizational capabilities within the teams he has led.
