Additionally, he worked as Vice President of Sales for both the Server Division and C2 CRM Software, contributing to sales strategies and customer engagement during his tenure.
Career at IBM
Van Symons began his career at IBM, where he worked as a Sales Executive from 1977 to 2002. Over the course of 25 years, he developed a deep understanding of technology sales and client relations. His experience at IBM laid the foundation for his future roles in technology leadership and sales management.
Education and Expertise
Van Symons earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, where he studied from 1973 to 1977. His educational background supports his strong expertise in database design and analysis, as well as infrastructure and storage analysis and design. He also specializes in IT Cloud Reporting offerings, particularly in storage arrays, VMware, and TSM environments.
