Educational Background

Theodoros Michalareas has a strong educational foundation in engineering and telecommunications. He studied Computer Engineering & Informatics at the University of Patras, earning a Ptyxio from 1992 to 1997. He furthered his studies at University College London, where he obtained a PhD in Telecommunications and Networking from 1999 to 2003. Additionally, he completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Telecoms at UCL from 1997 to 1998. This diverse academic background has equipped him with the skills necessary for his roles in technology and product development.

Early Career and Research Experience

Before his significant roles in product development, Michalareas gained valuable experience in research and consultancy. He worked at Nortel Networks as a Researcher in the next Optera OSW team for one year from 2000 to 2001. He also held positions at ED as a Senior Consultant and Project Manager from 2004 to 2005. These early career experiences laid the groundwork for his later achievements in technology and innovation.
