About Morenike Fajemisin

Morenike Fajemisin is the Founder and CEO of Whispa Health. After being involved in the Health industry as a pharmacist at multiple corporate levels, Morenike saw the need to create a company that focused on family planning, public health programs, women’s and children's health, and utilizing technology to provide healthcare solutions. Her business Whispa Health created Whispa, a mobile app that allows everyone to privately access sexual and reproductive health information, products, and services. Their goal is to help young people, particularly women to manage their sexual and reproductive healthcare without shame, judgment, or stigma. Morenike launched the company in Nigeria and is poised to make Whispa Africa’s sexual health solution provider. Morenike has won multiple awards: 2016 winner of the BMGF/Bayer 120 under 40 awards 2016; Ingenuity fund grant (2019) the same year that Whispa was selected by World Health Organisation Africa as one of the Top 30 Health Innovations to look out for. (2021) Bayer's women empowerment award, (2021) Googles Black Founder Africa Award and the (2022) award/recognition of being an extraordinary leader transforming a field through unorthodox philanthropy. She is also an associate fellow of the Royal Commonwealth Society. Morenike studied pharmacy at Obafemi Awolowo University. She is currently completing the Sexual Health Educator Certification (SHEC) programme, offered by Options For Sexual Health. .
