About Aadil Mehdi Sanchawala
Hi there. I am Aadil. I am a Master's in Computer Science student at Columbia University in the city of New York. My focus of study is Machine Learning with a specialization in Computer Vision and Natural Language Processing. My passion lies in building innovative technology that uses cutting-edge multidisciplinary research in artificial intelligence to better people's lives. I pursued my B. Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from IIIT Hyderabad. I graduated summa cum laude and was awarded the university gold medal. At college, I worked on several research projects focusing on computer vision, robotics, and social computing using contemporary machine learning technology like Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, MATLAB. In 2020-21, I worked closely with Interactive 3D Vision and Learning Lab, Brown University on unsupervised methods for obtaining dense object reconstruction and canonicalization for downstream robotics tasks. This work got published at the IEEE ICRA 2021 conference. My research project with Microsoft Research India and Precog IIIT Delhi on hate speech and online antisemitism detection and classification on social networking websites introduced me to several challenging problems and have given me great exposure to industry research. Looking for an opportunity to work in a challenging environment that would help me develop and refine my skills and be an active participant in the process of the company's development. I am currently looking for full-time opportunities to deploy the various skills I have picked up to work on innovative products.
