About Ron Enoch Canlas
I am a QA Trainee from Year Up, and I have been interning for Pandora as a QA Automation Engineer. Year Up is an intensive 11-month training program where they train young adults in professionalism and in-demand I.T. skills and that will eventually earn us internships with partnered companies. I earned a spot as a Test Automation Engineer here in the Enterprise Systems Team at Pandora. My role is to write test scripts and enhance our current testing framework. I participated in writing automation for our regression tests for the Oracle ERP Fusions Application. I was able to confidently write test scripts, add test cases, and produce test workflows. The experience was able to hone my skills in Java, Selenium, and TestNG. The project moved forward and I was able to experience using CI Tool(Jenkins), and Test Management Tool(TestRail). We use TestRail to create test plans and kick the automation off remotely using Jenkin. The overall experience created opportunities for me to practice Java by implementing those concepts while developing our automation. I was surrounded by great individuals who constantly gave me constructive feedback, and that made confident enough to independently write test scripts, add test workflows, and refactor our test framework. I am also pursuing the study of the Unix Way and Python Programming because I believe in constant learning
