Ari Mamshae is the Founding Curator of the Erbil Hub at the Global Shapers Community and has held various academic and governmental positions in Iraq. He has a strong educational background in public policy, international studies, and political science, with degrees from institutions including the University of Oxford and the American University of Sharjah.
Work at World Economic Forum
Ari Mamshae serves as the Founding Curator for the Erbil Hub at the Global Shapers Community, a role he has held since 2014. In this position, he engages with young leaders to address local and global challenges. The Global Shapers Community is an initiative of the World Economic Forum, aimed at fostering dialogue and collaboration among the youth to drive positive change.
Current Role in Kurdistan Regional Government
Ari Mamshae currently holds the position of Senior Aide at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers within the Kurdistan Regional Government. He has been in this role since 2019, contributing to various governmental initiatives and supporting the leadership in policy implementation and public administration.
Education and Expertise
Ari Mamshae has an extensive educational background. He earned a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from the University of Oxford in 2017. Additionally, he completed a Professional Diploma in Public Policy and Leadership through the Iraqi Public Leadership Program from 2020 to 2021. He also holds a Master’s Degree in International Studies from the University of Kurdistan Hewler and a BA in Politics and International Relations from the same institution.
Previous Academic Positions
Ari Mamshae has held various academic positions at the University of Kurdistan Hewlêr (UKH) and the University of Soran. He worked as an Assistant Lecturer at UKH for nine months in 2018 and served as the Director of Public Relations and Marketing for one year. Since 2021, he has been a Lecturer at the University of Soran, contributing to the education of students in the region.
Professional Experience in Media and Translation
Ari Mamshae has experience in media and translation. He worked as a Contributing Writer for NewsBase in 2014 for six months. Earlier in his career, he was the Team Leader for the Anfal Trial Documents Translation Team at the Kurdistan Regional Government's Ministry of Martyrs and Anfal Affairs in 2009, where he contributed to the documentation and translation of significant historical materials.
