About Ghali Jorio

Rising hospitality professional with experience and passion in real estate, development and sustainability. Ghali Jorio is a Student Entrepreneur in the SC Johnson College of Business at Cornell University, who worked/studies in 4 different countries. He was born and raised in Morocco before getting selected to join the African Leadership Academy (ALA) in South Africa. Ghali’s social entrepreneurial experience started when he was 14 years old and founded the first NGO in Morocco launched by teenagers « Aider Sans Limite ». After 2 years, the organization empowered 200 youth to start community service activities in Morocco and supported more than 3000 people. After his first year at ALA, Ghali launched the Moroccan Youth Social Entrepreneurs Camp in Rabat that has worked through its 4 editions with Moroccan Youth to start their own social organizations and start making an impact. In 2018, MYSEC Group has expended to the MYSEConference to discuss the development of social entrepreneurs in the country. After spending 2 years at Cornell, Ghali decided to take a gap year to grow and reflect. During the first part of his gap year, he led a market research for the development of a co-living space in Morocco, assisted to conferences and participated in field studies in Egypt, China, France and Philippines. Then, Ghali moved to Singapore for a six months internship at the iconic Marina Bay Sands Hotel in Singapore. He learned more about development and sustainability in the hospitality industry and also got to express how a hospitality firm managed a global pandemic during the covid crisis. His life goal is to transform Africa’s tourism industry. During his stay in South Africa, he launched myafritrip.com, a Pan-African Online Travel Agent that works with local tour operators to produce high-quality packages at affordable prices to visit African countries. His start-up succeeded to organize 30 trips in Morocco, Tanzania, and South Africa over summer 2017. He is currently developing his startup into a B2B destination management company in Africa. Ghali’s professional interest lies in working with worldwide organizations and businesses in the hospitality industry, real estate and sustainability.
