Karen Saez completed her Bachelor of Liberal Arts and Sciences at University College Utrecht from 2008 to 2011, focusing on social sciences and media. She furthered her education with a Master’s degree in Development Studies from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies from 2011 to 2013. Additionally, she participated in an exchange semester at the University of Toronto in 2010, studying anthropology, sociology, and film. She also obtained a French Scientific Baccalaureate with an International option from International Lycee Ferney from 2006 to 2008.

Experience in International Organizations

In addition to her roles at the World Economic Forum, Karen Saez has experience working with the International Labour Organization as a Social Dialogue Stand Assistant for ILO Conferences in 2013. She also interned at ICTSD International Centre for Trade and Sustainable Development in 2012, contributing to the publication Bridges Africa. Her early career included a communications internship at Newton Circus in 2014 and a position as Communications Manager at Gentle Gourmet from 2015 to 2016.
