With over 25 years of experience as a global technology leader, Monique Morrow has established a proven track record of success in driving business growth and innovation through emerging technologies. She holds several industry advisory positions including an Independent Director on the Hedera Hashgraph Board of Directors and Venture Partner at Sparklabs Accelerator for Cybersecurity and Blockchain, Wash D.C. In Monique’s previous role as Senior Distinguished Architect of Emerging Technologies at Syniverse, she provided thought leadership & strategic direction & vision for the company’s identified emerging technologies, including DLT interoperability, Zero-Knowledge Proofs/Data Anonymization, Trust & Identity, & Mobile Payments. Additionally, she is President and Co-Founder of the Humanized Internet, a non-profit organization focused on providing digital identity for those individuals most underserved & most importantly the need to control our identities. Monique believes in the social good of technology with embedded ethics where one can respond to cognitive bias. She has been active in the BitcoinBlockchain and Ethereum [Smart contracting] architectural discussions including the application of security-privacy. i.e. SHA-256 vs SHA-3 mechanisms and the use of secure multi-party computation [sMPC]. This intersectionality between blockchain technology, security-privacy, legal jurisdiction & portfolio development has been Monique’s blockchain focus. Recognized as one of the most influential tech leaders worldwide, Monique has earned honors that include WomenTech Networks' 2022 Top 100 Women in Tech, WomenTech Networks' 2020 Global Technology Leader Award, and Forbes' 2018 list of The World's Top 50 Women in Tech. She is a tireless advocate for women in technology and engineering, serving on multiple non-profit boards, publishing Internet of Women, Accelerating Culture Change in 2016, and facilitating the Women in Standardization Expert Group launch for ITU. Monique possesses an MSc in Digital Currency from the University of Nicosia, an MBA from the City University of Seattle (Zurich, Switzerland Program), an MS in Telecommunications Management from Golden Gate University, and a BA in French from San Jose State University. She earned a Graduate Certificate in Information Systems from the University of Southern California, a Diploma of Higher Studies from the University of Paris Sorbonne and is currently a Doctoral Student in Cyberpsychology at Capitol Technology University.
