Work at World Food Programme
Asia Ajam has been serving as a Livelihoods Programme Assistant at the World Food Programme since 2020. In this role, she focuses on enhancing livelihoods and food security in Lebanon. Prior to this position, she worked as a Monitoring Assistant (Retail) for five months in 2019, where she contributed to monitoring retail operations and ensuring program effectiveness.
Previous Experience at ACTION CONTRE LA FAIM
Asia Ajam held multiple positions at ACTION CONTRE LA FAIM, contributing to various initiatives in the Zahle District of Lebanon. She worked as a Food Security and Livelihood Field Supervisor from 2015 to 2016, where she oversaw field operations related to food security. She then served as the Cash Based Interventions Deputy Program Manager from 2016 to 2018, managing cash-based assistance programs. Additionally, she worked as an Integrated Protection Technical Advisor from 2018 to 2019, focusing on integrated protection strategies.
Experience at Danish Refugee Council
In 2014, Asia Ajam worked as a Verification Assistant at the Danish Refugee Council in the Baalbek District of Lebanon for a duration of three months. In this role, she was involved in verification processes that supported the organization's efforts in assisting displaced populations.
Education and Expertise
Asia Ajam earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management from the American University of Culture and Education, completing her studies from 2008 to 2012. Her educational background provides her with a solid foundation in management principles, which she applies in her various roles within humanitarian organizations.
