Previous Experience in Humanitarian Work
Before her current role at WFP, Aya Elnaihom worked as a Case Management Assistant at the Danish Refugee Council from 2020 to 2021 in Tripoli, Libya. In this position, she oversaw and reviewed the work of support staff, providing practical advice and guidance to meet objectives. Additionally, she served as a MEPI Fellow Student Leader in 2022 for two months in Washington, D.C., and worked as a Data and Design Scholar at Leaders of Africa for three months in 2023, gaining valuable experience in data analysis and project design.
Capacity Building Initiatives
In her role at the World Food Programme, Aya Elnaihom supports the capacity building of WFP staff, cooperating partners, and national government entities within her technical area.
