Brian Mandebvu serves as a Programme Policy Officer at the World Food Programme (WFP) since 2022, focusing on operations in Cox’s Bazar, Chattogram, Bangladesh. Brian Mandebvu has extensive experience in monitoring and evaluation across various organizations. His career includes roles at CARE as a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist in Zimbabwe and at LTS International as a Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist in Botswana. He has also worked with Action Contre la Faim in Zimbabwe and served as an International Monitoring and Evaluation Expert for FAO in Iraq. His work has consistently focused on enhancing programme efficiency and effectiveness in humanitarian contexts.
Previous Positions and Responsibilities
Before his current role at WFP, Brian held several significant positions. He was a Program Associate for Vulnerability Analysis and Mapping at WFP in Harare from 2016 to 2020. He also worked as the Head of VAM and M&E at WFP in Sierra Leone from 2021 to 2022. His responsibilities included coordinating operational and thematic research initiatives and managing monitoring and evaluation activities to support food security and nutrition assessments.

Brian Mandebvu actively engages in collaborative research initiatives, particularly with the World Bank, focusing on the Rohingya refugees' response in Cox’s Bazar.
