Daniel Winter Putan holds a Master of Science degree in Social Protection Financing from the University of Mauritius, where he graduated with distinction in 2016. He also earned a Bachelor of Social Work and Social Administration from Uganda Christian University in 2008. His educational background supports his expertise in social insurance and social care services, which enhances his contributions to social protection systems.

Background in Government and Non-Profit Sectors

Daniel Winter Putan has extensive experience in both government and non-profit sectors. He worked at the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development as a Technical Officer and District Team Leader for the Social Assistance Grant For Empowerment (SAGE) from 2013 to 2015. Additionally, he held roles at World Vision as a Monitoring and Evaluation/Humanitarian Accountability Assistant and Project Officer, gaining valuable insights into project management and social development.

As part of his role in Social Protection System Strengthening, Daniel Winter Putan contributed to the Child Sensitive Social Protection Programme.
