Hiba Jundi serves as a Programme Associate in Crisis Response at the World Food Programme, a position she has held since 2021. In this role, she contributes to the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and timelines related to crisis response operations. Jundi coordinates with various internal units, including CBT, Partnerships, Supply Chain, IT, VAM, M&E, and Finance, to facilitate effective collaboration and monitoring of project activities. She worked as a Grants Manager at Chemonics International from 2019 to 2021, and as a Grants and Compliance Officer at Mercy Corps from 2015 to 2018. Jundi also served as a Partnership and Compliance Manager at Terre des hommes foundation from 2018 to 2019. Her experience includes ensuring proper documentation of business processes to improve workflow and systems, as well as supporting partnership-building efforts.
Education and Expertise
Hiba Jundi holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Balamand. She furthered her education at the Lebanese American University and completed a Postgraduate Course in Journalism at the London School of Journalism, focusing on News Writing and Media Law from 2015 to 2016. This educational background equips her with a strong foundation in both political science and media, enhancing her capabilities in crisis response and communication within humanitarian contexts.

Jundi has a diverse background in research and communication, having worked as a Junior Researcher at the Lebanese Transparency Association in 2011 and as a Communications Assistant at the Carnegie Middle East Center in 2015. These roles contributed to her understanding of the importance of transparency and effective communication in humanitarian efforts. Additionally, she gained experience as a Trainee at Teaching House in New York in 2014, which further developed her skills in communication.
