Madison Arndt serves as the Assistant Director of Athletics Development & Engagement at Yale University, where she has been instrumental in creating the Yale Women’s Athlete Network and overseeing fundraising efforts for various sports. With a background in athletics administration and marketing, she focuses on donor engagement and alumni volunteer management to enhance student-athlete career development.
Work at Yale University
Madison Arndt has served as the Assistant Director of Athletics Development & Engagement at Yale University since 2019. In this role, she focuses on the stewardship of annual donations to Yale Athletics, implementing a donor-forward strategy. Arndt is responsible for fundraising across seven different sport associations, including tennis, track & field, squash, field hockey, volleyball, gymnastics, and softball. She oversees the Yale Athletics Development Internship program, supervising student-workers and part-time employees. Additionally, she created the Yale Women’s Athlete Network, a fundraising and networking group that celebrates 50 years of Title IX and varsity women’s athletics at Yale.
Education and Expertise
Madison Arndt completed her Bachelor of Science in Marketing at Manhattan College from 2014 to 2018. Prior to that, she graduated from Central Catholic High School, earning her High School Diploma from 2010 to 2014. Her educational background has equipped her with the skills necessary for her roles in athletics development and engagement. Arndt's expertise includes fundraising strategies, donor engagement, and alumni relations, which she applies in her current position at Yale University.
Professional Experience
Before joining Yale University, Madison Arndt held several positions that contributed to her professional development. She worked as an External Relations Assistant at Manhattan College from 2015 to 2018, where she gained experience in athletics administration. Arndt also served as a DII Governance Intern at the NCAA for 11 months in 2018-2019. Her earlier roles included being a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference National Student Athlete Representative at the NCAA from 2016 to 2018 and a Project Management Intern at Raka in 2017. Additionally, she worked as a Digital Marketing Intern at Key Auto Group and as a Coach at Interstate Gymnastics & Dance.
Volunteer Management and Engagement
In her current role, Madison Arndt recruits, trains, and manages over 100 alumni volunteers across multiple alumni associations. This initiative enhances engagement and provides career development opportunities for student-athletes. Arndt collaborates with head coaches to tailor fundraising and stewardship processes to meet the specific needs of different sport groups, ensuring that alumni and donors are effectively engaged with Yale Athletics.
