His earlier roles include Product Support Manager and Product Engineering Manager at Brooks Automation, where he worked from 1997 to 2011, and Strategic Sourcing Manager at netMercury Corporation from 2006 to 2008.

Christopher Barrett studied at New Hampshire Technical College, where he earned an Associate of Science in Electromechanical Drafting and Design. He furthered his education at the University of New Hampshire, Keene, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering. Barrett is a registered NABCEP training provider, indicating his expertise in solar energy education. He also holds a credential as an Apprentice Electrician in Colorado, demonstrating his technical proficiency in electrical systems.
