Claire Yu has served as the Head of Technical Communications at Zilliz since 2021. Claire Yu holds a Master of Science (M.S.) in Language Interpretation and Translation from New York University, where she studied from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, she completed a Bachelor's degree in English at Tongji University from 2011 to 2016. Claire also participated in an exchange program at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, focusing on Chinese and Bilingual Studies for 11 months in 2013. Her educational background equips her with strong language skills and expertise in communication.
Previous Experience
Before joining Zilliz, Claire Yu worked at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) as the Firmwide Translation Technology Task Force Lead and Project Technical Translator from 2018 to 2021. In this position, she contributed to translation technology initiatives. Earlier in her career, she served as a Chinese-English Interpreter at Shanghai Disney Resort for two months in 2016. Claire also gained experience as a Marketing Intern at Car and Driver Magazine in 2015 and as a Journalism Intern at Shanghai Media Group in 2014.
