Clarisse Aichelburg has served as the R&D Programmes Lead at ZINC since 2020. In this role, she focuses on facilitating collaboration between researchers and founders to advance people-centred health research. Aichelburg leads the 'Tackling Taboos' programme, which is supported by a Public Engagement Award from the Wellcome Trust. Education and Expertise
Aichelburg holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Cognitive Neuroscience from University College London (UCL), where she studied from 2013 to 2018. Prior to her PhD, she completed a Dual Masters in Brain and Mind Sciences at Ecole normale supérieure and UCL from 2012 to 2013. She also earned a Master of Science (MS) in Brain and Mind Sciences from UCL in 2011-2012 and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Psychology from UCL from 2008 to 2011.
Current Roles and Responsibilities
In addition to her position at ZINC, Aichelburg has been the Chief R&D Officer at the Institute for Internet & the Just Society in Berlin, Germany, since 2020. Her work there involves co-creating startup solutions that address underserved health issues by engaging user groups in the development and evaluation of digital health products. She also serves as an Honorary Research Fellow at UCL's Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience, a role she has held since 2019.
