Each product is designed to enhance treatment accuracy and patient comfort. For example, the TrueFit Bolus is made from semi-rigid TPU, while the TrueFlex Bolus is a flexible silicone device that adapts to minor changes in surface anatomy. The Nova Surface Applicator is tailored for use in high-dose rate brachytherapy.

Regulatory Approvals and Certifications

Adaptiiv's software platform is regulatory cleared and complies with multiple international standards. The software has received FDA 510(k) clearance, a CE Mark for European compliance, TGA approval in Australia, and meets ISO 13485 certification requirements. These approvals demonstrate the software's reliability and adherence to industry standards.

Software Platform

Adaptiiv's proprietary software platform is built to convert patient DICOM data into digital models that can be 3D printed. The platform includes features for smoothing, cropping, patient ID labeling, cleaving, and in vivo dosimetry to ensure accurate and optimal bolus customization. It is compatible with all 3D printers that accept STL files, providing flexibility in clinical settings. Furthermore, extensive validation—including over 10,000 hours spent on testing printers and materials—ensures compliance from design to print.

Clinical Application

Adaptiiv's solution is in use at leading cancer centers across 18 countries for the treatment of various cancers, including head & neck, breast, skin, and cervical cancers. The software allows for the creation of patient-specific brachytherapy applicators and bolus for external beam radiation therapy (EBRT), enabling tailored treatment approaches. Adaptiiv is also part of the Varian 3cosystem, which extends the compatibility of its Nova Surface Applicators with Varian's BRAVOS system.
