AgBiome
AgBiome is a biotechnology company specializing in microbial-based products to enhance global food production and health, with a proprietary microbial collection and innovative platforms like GENESIS™.
Services
AgBiome specializes in developing novel microbial products that enhance global food production as well as human and animal health. Using their proprietary GENESIS™ platform, they sample, sequence, and screen the microbial world to generate a unique collection of sustainably sourced ingredients. Their products aim to replace petrochemical-based ingredients with naturally-derived microbes, genes, proteins, and enzymes.
Products
AgBiome offers several innovative products, including Howler® fungicide, Theia® fungicide, and Howler EVO fungicide. Howler provides broad-spectrum protection against various foliar and soilborne diseases, while Theia, a novel strain of Bacillus subtilis selected using the GENESIS™ platform, was named 'Pest Management Solution of the Year' in the 2023 AgTech Breakthrough Awards. Howler EVO offers effective control with a lower application rate and reduced input. AgBiome's products aim to eliminate synthetic chemical residues on food and reduce worker exposure to synthetic pesticides.

Through these partnerships, AgBiome seeks to expand its impact across various commercial markets, including animal health, human health, biomining, and industrial products.
Technology
AgBiome utilizes the proprietary GENESIS™ platform for its scientific advancements. This technology allows for the extensive scouting, sequencing, and screening of microbes from the environment, generating a vast collection of over 100,000 microbial isolates from thousands of environments. The GENESIS™ platform supports large commercial markets and is pivotal in creating products like Theia fungicide, which was approved by the EPA in June 2022. This platform is integral to AgBiome's mission of replacing petrochemical-based ingredients with naturally-derived alternatives.
