Tina Chiao serves as the Director of Development and Communications at BC Centre for Ability since 2020. In this role, she is responsible for creating and managing the annual Foundation budget. She collaborates with the Executive Director and Foundation Board of Directors to develop and execute both short and long-term fundraising plans. Later, she transitioned to the Faculty of Education as Development Officer from 2016 to 2018, and worked in Central Major Gifts from 2007 to 2016. Tina Chiao holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Political Science from The University of British Columbia. Before her extensive work in development and communications, Tina Chiao worked at TD Bank Financial Group as Manager of Customer Service from 2000 to 2002. She also served as Vice President of Administration at AMS of UBC Vancouver from 1999 to 2000. These early roles contributed to her foundational skills in management and customer service.
