The Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County has been serving youth since 1965. Initially, the organization focused on assisting boys in underserved communities within Ft. Lauderdale. Over time, recognizing the need to be inclusive of all young people, the organization expanded in 1990 to also include girls, thus becoming the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County. Over the years, the organization has grown significantly and now operates 12 chartered clubs, serving over 12,500 youth members.
