Brightfield was founded in 2006 with the mission to enable the Global 2000 to spend smarter. In 2008, Brightfield achieved $73M in hard savings through its first rate card analytics project. TDX was born in 2014, marking the beginning of data aggregation for the company. Commercial availability of TDX started in 2016, and the first-rate benchmarking AI was launched in 2015. TDX continued to evolve with the introduction of SOW data collection and structuring AI in 2018. Sapphire Ventures led Series A Funding in 2019, followed by the launch of behavioral AI for buyer persona typing in 2021. Automated supplier scorecards and rate cards were introduced in 2023.

TDX AI Models and Capabilities

TDX AI, a suite of proprietary artificial intelligence models developed by Brightfield, supports a range of functionalities. These models include Skill-based Job Variant Classification Model, SOW Document Structuring Model, SOW Misclassification Risk Service Model, Global Skill Based Rate Intelligence model, and Global Assignment Fillability Model. The AI reads through unstructured job descriptions and extracts relevant skills and job titles. It predicts current and future pay rates, mark-ups, and bill rates for roles across 40 countries and determines the time needed to fill a role based on market conditions. TDX AI models are continuously trained and updated using transactional data from numerous industries and 135 countries.

TDX Products

Brightfield offers several data-driven products under the TDX brand to automate and optimize various business processes. Rate Intelligence provides detailed skill-based market rate benchmarks for budgeting and contracting. Rate Card Manager updates rate cards quickly, presenting forecasted savings impact. SOW Rate Insights offers 'should cost' insights to help negotiate and lower SOW contracted resource rates. SOW Quality and Risk Analytics helps identify transactions with hidden premiums and misclassified staff augmentation. The ROI Dashboard maintains an updated inventory of savings opportunities across SOW and CW projects. Supplier Scorecards automatically track and manage supplier performance, saving time and improving efficiency.
