Technical Interest Groups
CEATI facilitates 20 technical interest groups focused on critical areas of power generation, transmission, and distribution. These groups are designed to address specific challenges and opportunities within the energy sector. Open to all industry professionals at no cost, these advocacy groups promote collaborative problem-solving and innovation.
Annual Conferences
CEATI hosts three major power industry conferences each year. These include the Transmission & Distribution Conference in Palm Springs, CA on Nov 19-20, 2024; the Strategy and Innovation Conference in Minneapolis, MN on May 14-15, 2024; and the Hydropower Conference in Palm Springs, CA on March 19-20, 2024. These events bring together industry leaders and experts to discuss and explore the latest developments in the field.
History
CEATI has its origins dating back to 1891 as part of the Canadian Electricity Association. The organization expanded its operations beyond Canada in the mid-1990s and officially became known as CEATI International (Centre for Energy Advancement through Technological Innovation) on January 1, 2008. In February 2021, CEATI received growth investment from Pamlico Capital, further enhancing its capabilities and reach.
Membership and Network
CEATI boasts active participation from over 155 member utilities worldwide. In 2023, CEATI welcomed 58 new memberships, expanding its network and influence within the energy sector. This extensive network provides access to industry-leading intelligence and offers a cost-effective approach for members to inform and improve their decision-making processes.
