Commonwealth Care Alliance (CCA) offers a range of high-quality health plans and care delivery programs. These are tailored to individuals with the most significant needs, ensuring comprehensive, integrated, and person-centered care. Services are coordinated by local staff, provider partners, and community organizations to deliver exceptional care. CCA also provides specialized care through its primary care clinics for members needing a primary care doctor. In California, CCA offers Medicare Advantage plans with additional benefits, including $0 monthly premiums, $0 primary care and specialist visits, $0 Tier 1 and 2 prescription drugs, and $0 routine vision and hearing exams.

Additionally, the acquisition of Vitality Health Plan in California and Reliance Healthcare in Michigan expands CCA's footprint and service capabilities.

Health Plans

CCA’s health plans include one of Massachusetts’s first Senior Care Options plans launched in 2004, and one of the nation’s earliest One Care Dual Demonstration Medicare-Medicaid Programs rolled out in 2013. These plans are structured to address the needs of those who are nursing home certifiable but can live safely and independently at home. Offering $0 premiums, and $0 copays for primary care, specialist visits, prescription drugs, vision, and hearing exams in California enhances accessibility. Members also receive additional benefits such as $300 for eyewear, $120 quarterly for approved over-the-counter products, and a $25 reward for annual wellness visits.

Innovative Programs

CCA has been involved in the creation of trailblazing programs like the Winter Street Ventures healthcare accelerator, launched in 2016. The Center to Advance Consumer Partnership (CACP), established in 2018, continues to advance consumer-focused care models. In 2021, the organization expanded its reach by acquiring majority stakes in Reliance Healthcare and Vitality Health Plan. CCA is also an active partner in initiatives like the temporary housing community on the former Shattuck Hospital campus in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts.
