Cundall is a global, independent, multi-disciplinary consultancy delivering sustainable engineering and design solutions across the built environment. The company has 26 offices staffed by 1,000 consulting engineers and designers. Cundall aims to achieve net zero carbon on all its projects by 2030 and is 100% owned by partners working in the practice.

Cundall offers a comprehensive range of services, including acoustics, air quality and odour, audio visual, building performance services, building services engineering, civil engineering, digital engineering, environmental, social and governance (ESG), fire engineering, geotechnical and geoenvironmental, health, wellbeing and productivity, information technology, lighting design, planning, power, security, smart, structural engineering, sustainability, transportation, and vertical transportation.

Notable Projects

Cundall has been involved in several pioneering projects such as the Eden, New Bailey project, which is the UK's first new build building to achieve a 5.5 NABERS 'Design Reviewed' Target Rating. It features a living façade, aims for net zero carbon in operation, and is designed to BREEAM Outstanding and WiredScore Platinum standards. Additionally, the Ed Sheeran +–=÷x Tour project is the world's first-ever touring cable structure. Another key project is the Imjin Barracks, the first project delivered under the Defence Infrastructure Organisation’s Single Living Accommodation Programme, and it achieved an ‘Excellent’ rating under the Defence Related Environmental Assessment Methodology (DREAM).

Sustainability Initiatives

Cundall is committed to sustainability and its sustainability team provides guidance across zero carbon, climate resilience, circular economy, health and wellbeing, water conservation, and social value. Certified as carbon neutral by the Carbon Trust in 2020 and aiming to be carbon positive by 2025, the team has implemented numerous sustainable initiatives worldwide. They are also founding signatories of the World Green Building Council’s Net Zero Carbon Commitment and certify new offices to the WELL Building Standard.

Lighting Design Recognitions

Cundall's lighting team has received multiple accolades, including recognitions at the LIT Lighting Design Awards 2023 and the International Design Awards 2023. The team has also been shortlisted for three projects at the [d]arc awards and recognized at the Australian Design Awards. These recognitions highlight Cundall's excellence and innovation in lighting design.
