Deep Genomics
Deep Genomics develops RNA therapies using its proprietary AI Platform, which identifies novel targets and evaluates therapeutic candidates. The company has offices in Toronto and Boston, and its flagship platform, BigRNA, is the world's first RNA foundation model for RNA therapeutics.
Deep Genomics Services
Deep Genomics is dedicated to developing RNA therapies for any gene and any genetic condition. The company leverages its proprietary AI Platform to overcome the complexity in RNA biology, identify novel targets, and evaluate thousands of possibilities to determine the most promising therapeutic candidates. The platform is designed for data-driven prediction, positive feedback loops, and exponential growth, making it a robust tool in the field of RNA-based therapeutics.
Deep Genomics AI Platform
Deep Genomics' AI Platform plays a crucial role in advancing RNA therapeutic discovery and development. Since 2018, the platform has been instrumental in unlocking targets where RNA splicing defects and correction mechanisms can be identified. In 2023, Deep Genomics introduced BigRNA, the first Foundation Model for RNA Biology. BigRNA is capable of predicting RNA expression at sub-gene resolution, identifying novel biological mechanisms, predicting molecule-target interactions, and designing therapeutic candidates across various species, tissues, and RNA therapeutic modalities.
Deep Genomics Series C Financing
In July 2021, Deep Genomics successfully raised $180 million in Series C financing. This substantial funding round has supported the expansion and enhancement of their proprietary AI Platform and the development of new RNA therapeutics. The investment has enabled Deep Genomics to continue its innovative work in predicting and targeting RNA-based diseases.
Deep Genomics Office Locations
Deep Genomics operates out of two primary locations, with its AI platform and preclinical research teams based in Toronto, and its clinical development and business development teams led from Boston. The Toronto office is situated in the MaRS tower, in close proximity to the University of Toronto, four research hospitals, three medical research institutes, and several AI research labs, including those of Google, Uber, and the Vector Institute for Artificial Intelligence.
Deep Genomics BigRNA
BigRNA, launched in 2023, is Deep Genomics' flagship platform and the world's first RNA foundation model for RNA therapeutics. BigRNA is designed to essentially discover a wide array of new biological mechanisms and RNA therapeutic candidates that traditional methods would overlook. The platform can execute diverse tasks such as target identification, discovery of novel biological mechanisms, molecule-target interaction prediction, and designing therapeutic candidates across numerous species, tissues, and RNA therapeutic modalities. Deep Genomics is currently developing BigRNA+, an enhanced version expected to expand the number of mechanisms and genetic variants the platform can address.
