Digital NEST provides a comprehensive Pathways Program that delivers hands-on experience with industry software and professional certifications. Their offerings include a variety of resources and programs aimed at setting young people on a career path, helping them create resumes, and sourcing jobs. They offer both technical and soft skills training, mentorship, and networking opportunities to aid youth in gaining sustainable employment. Membership is free and provides access to co-working spaces and necessary equipment.
bizzNEST: Youth Paid Internships
bizzNEST is Digital NEST's in-house digital media agency that provides paid internships for youth aged 18-24. This initiative gives young people practical work experience in fields such as video production, graphic design, marketing, and IT development. The program is designed to offer real-world skills and professional exposure, preparing participants for future career opportunities.
Locations
Digital NEST operates technology learning centers in multiple locations across California, including Watsonville, Salinas, Gilroy, Modesto, and Stockton. These centers are designed to be sustainable and scalable, focusing on fostering economic equality and providing under-resourced communities with access to technology and career readiness programs.
Program Offerings
Digital NEST provides a diverse range of programs aimed at preparing youth for various career paths. Some of these programs include video production, graphic design, marketing, and IT development. Additional programs like the Quest Club cater to younger individuals aged 14-17, offering industry tours, guest speaker events, and leadership opportunities. They also support optional certifications such as Comp TIA A+, CAPM, and FAA 107 (drone license).
