EAT Club
EAT Club offers premier individual meal delivery services for companies, providing a scalable lunch program through a world-class technology platform. Founded in 2010, the company operates in 9 cities and was acquired by Compass Group in 2020.
Services
EAT Club offers premier individual meal delivery services for companies lacking onsite cafes. Using a scalable lunch program, they cater to organizational needs, enabling orders from both desktop and mobile menus up to 7 days in advance or on the same day of delivery. They provide notifications via phone and email when meals arrive, ensuring smooth logistics. They also offer transparency in ingredients and allergens, with an Ingredient Ambassador at every location to answer additional questions. The packaging is informative for proper disposal and helps reduce food waste with pre-portioned meals.
History
EAT Club was founded in 2010 by two Stanford students. Over the years, the company has grown significantly, serving 21 million meals to 1,145 companies across 9 active cities. In May 2017, EAT Club successfully raised $30 million in Series C funding. In October 2020, Compass Group, a global leader in food service, acquired the company. It now operates as part of Compass Digital, focusing on digital hospitality services.
Technology Platform
EAT Club utilizes a world-class technology platform that partners with the global leader in food service. Their app is available in both the App Store and Google Play store, allowing users to order meals and receive notifications about deliveries. Meals are sealed immediately upon packing for safety, and feedback can be provided through a rating system and open comments directly sent to the kitchen.
Geographical Availability
EAT Club operates in several metro areas in the US and Canada, including Appleton, WI; Atlanta, GA; Bethesda, MD; Boston, MA; Chicago, IL; Denver, CO; Durham, NC; Minneapolis, MN; Mississauga, Ontario; Newark, NJ; Sacramento, CA; Santa Clara, CA; Sunnyvale, CA; Troy, MI; and Washington, DC. The company provides services exclusively for corporate locations, with a minimum daily order requirement of 50 meals per location. Weekend service may be available in specific geographies.
Corporate Benefits
EAT Club helps companies improve employee retention, boost morale, and enhance camaraderie through its meal delivery services. By offering individually ordered and packaged meals delivered within a specific 30-minute window daily, the service minimizes food waste and ensures consistent delivery. Menus can be sorted by dish tags like vegetarian and protein type, although meals are not customizable. Pre-portioned to reduce waste, the meals help avoid 'end of the line' run out.
