Fatshark is a Swedish game development studio known for creating and publishing high-profile games for PC and consoles, including titles like Warhammer 40,000: Darktide and Warhammer: Vermintide 2.
Company History
Fatshark was founded in 2007. Initially, the company was involved in subcontracting work on AAA titles. In 2010, with the help of Paradox Interactive, Fatshark shifted towards self-publishing and released their first game, Lead and Gold. The company transitioned fully to self-publishing, developing and publishing several high-profile games. In 2009, Fatshark co-founded Bitsquid, which was acquired by Autodesk in 2014.

Fatshark designs, develops, and publishes a variety of games mainly for PC and consoles. Their self-published titles include Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, Warhammer: Vermintide 2, Warhammer - End Times: Vermintide, Krater, Bloodsports.tv, Hamilton’s Great Adventure, and Hamilton’s Puzzle Run. In collaboration with other publishers, they developed games such as War of the Vikings, Lead and Gold, War of the Roses, Escape Dead Island, Bionic Commando: Rearmed 2, and Cobalt. They have also published the game Dreadlands.

It features a 4-player cooperative experience, 5 heroes with 15 career paths, and a Heroic Deeds System. Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide launched on October 23, 2015, for PC and on Xbox One on July 11, 2018. It includes co-operative survival for up to 4 players, 5 unique heroes, and a wide range of weapons. The Chaos Wastes update for Warhammer: Vermintide 2 introduced a new rogue-lite mode and 15 unique locations. Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is set to release on September 13, 2022, for PC and Xbox Series X|S.
