Services
Faulk Center for Counseling provides a range of mental health services both on-site in Boca Raton, Florida, and online through a telehealth platform. Services include individual, couples, and family counseling, group therapy, support groups, and comprehensive psychological testing for children and adults. They also offer community education and training. Support groups address various needs such as men’s issues, women’s issues, life issues, LGBTQ+ communities, divorced and separated individuals, and widows and widowers.
Accreditations and Recognition
The Faulk Center for Counseling is accredited by Nonprofits First and holds a Platinum Seal of Transparency from GuideStar. It operates under the oversight of full-time licensed clinicians, ensuring that all services align with the standards of the American Psychological Association (APA). The Addison Hines Internship Program, which is part of their clinical services, is accredited by the APA. In 2023, the Center was named the George Long Nonprofit of the Year by the Rotary Club Downtown Boca Raton.
Programs and Initiatives
The Faulk Center for Counseling runs several specialized programs to cater to various community needs. Their Prime Timers program provides on-site support groups for older adults, while the Senior Outreach Support (SOS) program offers weekly phone calls to senior citizens. Additionally, they offer a Doctoral Psychology Internship Program that is accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA), providing advanced training and real-world experience to future mental health professionals.
Community Outreach
Faulk Center for Counseling's community outreach includes off-site services provided in senior membership communities, as well as a Speaker’s Bureau focused on promoting awareness of the center’s services and programs. The Speaker’s Bureau offers information sessions to raise community awareness about mental health and the support services available at the Center. This holistic approach to outreach aims to ensure that vulnerable and underserved populations have access to needed mental health resources.
