Flightcheck Commercial Aviation Services was founded in 2004 as an aircraft maintenance provider. The company began its operations at Chicago O’Hare in April 2006 and has since grown to become the largest commercial line maintenance provider in the Chicago area. Over the years, Flightcheck has expanded its line maintenance locations to include several key airports such as Washington-Dulles International, Baltimore/Washington International, Las Vegas McCarren International, Chicago-Rockford International, Bradley International, and Manchester-Boston Regional. The company's corporate offices are located in Bensenville, IL.
Services
Flightcheck Commercial Aviation Services offers a range of technical handling and ground handling services for over 25 domestic and international airlines at O’Hare International Airport. These services include aircraft de-icing and heating, on-call maintenance through B checks, and limited ground handling. The company is fully mobile for AOG and diversion recovery, providing 24/7/365 coverage with a full complement of support vehicles and tooling for all fleet types. Additionally, Flightcheck's Avionics Shop is capable of Pitot Static (RVSM), Transponder, and ILS tests, and offers specialty tooling and manpower such as NDT.
Certifications and Training
Flightcheck Commercial Aviation Services is an FAA and EASA certified part 145 repair station. The company employs ATA 104 Level III trained Aircraft Engineers and has its own FAA approved type-specific in-house training program, which is aligned with EASA part 147 equivalent standards. Flightcheck also offers external training solutions for large transport category aircraft, with an in-house instructor staff qualified to teach to EASA Part 147 standards.
Recent Acquisitions
In January 2024, Flightcheck Commercial Aviation Services acquired Keenan Technical Industries (KTI). Earlier, in April 2022, the company also acquired the line maintenance division of Boxell Aerospace. These acquisitions have further strengthened Flightcheck's capabilities and service offerings.
De-Icing Services
Flightcheck Commercial Aviation Services provides comprehensive aircraft de-icing using twelve Trump 2000-2 de-ice units operating 24 hours a day. They utilize Cryotech’s Polar type 1 and 4 fluids for de-icing. During the 2015 – 2016 season, Flightcheck's de-ice team used an average of 10% less fluid compared to other providers. This service ensures the safe operation of aircraft in all weather conditions.
