History of Health Wildcatters

Health Wildcatters was founded in 2013 to provide a health innovation hub in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. Since its inception, the organization has focused on fostering healthcare startups, supporting their development through funding, mentorship, and networking opportunities. Over the years, Health Wildcatters has successfully expanded its portfolio to include 109 startups, which have collectively raised over $250 million.

Health Wildcatters Accelerator Program

Health Wildcatters operates an annual accelerator program that runs for ten weeks from September to November. Each year, 8 to 12 startups are selected to join the program, which offers $30,000 in cash and in-kind perks valued at over $200,000 in exchange for eight percent equity. Participants benefit from a hybrid format, allowing them to engage either in person or virtually. Graduates of the program also have opportunities for follow-on and convertible note investments, with the possibility of receiving up to $380,000 in total cash investment.

Health Wildcatters Mentor Network

A key feature of Health Wildcatters is its extensive mentor network, which includes over 200 professionals from various sectors, including healthcare and professional services. This network plays a critical role in supporting startups by providing valuable advice, industry insights, and networking opportunities. The mentorship is designed to help participants navigate the complexities of the healthcare industry and accelerate their business growth.
