History
The High Court of Delhi was established on 31st October 1966. Initially, it exercised jurisdiction over the Union Territory of Delhi and Himachal Pradesh. The court had a Himachal Pradesh Bench at Shimla until the State of Himachal Pradesh Act, 1970 came into force. Since its founding, the court's sanctioned strength has grown from four judges to a total of 45 permanent judges and 15 additional judges.
