History of HomePlate Youth Services
HomePlate Youth Services was founded on April 14, 2005, with a $3,000 start-up grant. The organization became a 501(c)3 non-profit in 2007. Over the years, it has expanded its services and facilities. Notably, in 2022, HomePlate opened a new 4,000 square foot drop-in center and campus in downtown Beaverton.

HomePlate Youth Services offers an array of services to youth aged 12-24 facing instability. These services include dinners, clothing, winter wear, showers, hygiene needs, laundry, housing search assistance, ID assistance, healthcare referrals, job search resources, parent resources, and education resources. The organization also operates drop-in centers in Beaverton and Hillsboro, along with an outreach team that travels throughout Washington County to meet youth where they are.

Youth Employment Program at HomePlate Youth Services
Launched in 2013, the Youth Employment Program at HomePlate Youth Services assists with job searches, application process, skills training, resume and cover letter creation, and interview coaching. This program aims to prepare youth for employment and provide them with necessary tools to achieve job readiness.
